As of March 2026, Sapphire National Golf Club in Sapphire Valley is facing significant operational and legal challenges. While some online booking platforms still list tentative hours, the course has recently been described as having only 9 to 10 holes open following storm damage and years of reported maintenance neglect.

Sapphire National Golf Club Current Operational Status
Limited Playability: Local reports and recent reviews indicate the course has been reduced from its original 18-hole layout to a 9-hole course.
Poor Conditions: Visitors have frequently reported "deplorable" conditions, including unmaintained bunkers, overgrown greens, and "trash" tee boxes.
Legal & Infrastructure Issues: The property is currently the subject of a lawsuit involving the Sapphire Valley Master Association (SVMA) and the course owners regarding neglected maintenance and violations of recorded covenants. The SVMA has reportedly stepped in to fix critical infrastructure, such as the golf cart tunnel, using withheld funds.

Red Bird Golf is a Sapphire Valley Master Association Amenity and is open to the public!
